For players living in places like Tibet, Cyprus and Kosovo, the Viva World Cup offers some hope. The tournament is scheduled to feature 8 unrecognized countries in Cyprus in November. Rumored teams include: Cyprus, Tibet, Chechnya, Kosovo and Monaco, plus teams representing Western Sahara, Occitania and the Sami people. Notably absent from this list is Wales, which apparently can’t even qualify for this one.
